Indira Joshi is at once a modern young woman, able to show off her sex appeal for the benefit of her up-and-coming music career, and a traditional Nepali girl who lives with her family in Kathmandu.

When she first arrived in Kathmandu and began her singing career, Indira says she had no confidence and walked around with her head down.
